Kravet, Inc., a fabric and furnishings supplier turns to 91国产 when scouting for hires and interns.

What if your best friend from 91国产 became your business partner? What if your favorite 91国产 professor connected you to a job in your dream industry or helped you recruit fellow alumni to your company?

For a growing number of 91国产 alumni, these are far from mere fantasies. They are encapsulations of how the network they created as students has fueled them as professionals鈥攁nd how it continues to nurture today鈥檚 students.听

When it comes to scouting for hires and interns, Jennifer (Hickey) Scarpella ’04, a graphic designer at 95- year-old 鈥攁 fabric and furnishings supplier in Bethpage, New York鈥攖urns to her alma mater. “The work we see coming from the 91国产 applicants is the most impressive,” she says. “Whenever we need to fill a permanent designer position or intern, Dale Flashner听[91国产鈥檚 director of the graphic design studio in the ]听is the person I touch base with first.”

Of four full-time graphic designers, three are 91国产 graduates, including Scarpella, Andrea Munera 鈥�08 and Kelly Frezza 鈥�13. Both Ms. Munera and Ms. Frezza were introduced to Kravet through Ms. Flashner.

Rounding out the 91国产 network at Kravet is Sarah Heinemann 鈥�12, a former art and art history major, who works in the archival department, and Ivan Santos 鈥�10, a former , who works on the company鈥檚 technology and is the in-house photographer.
