Adelphi Health Services provides accessible on-campus medical care for students<\/a>, including illness visits, preventive care, health guidance and select clinical services. Some services are available at no additional cost, while eligible medical visits and clinical services are billed through health insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n Adelphi requires all residential and international students to have health insurance coverage that meets ACA and New York State mandates. This ensures students have consistent access to healthcare during their studies.<\/strong><\/p>\n Adelphi offers a student health insurance plan through United Healthcare, administered by Gallagher Student Health and Special Risk<\/a>. The plan meets state and federal requirements and is designed to protect students\u2019 health and well-being.<\/p>\n This plan is designed to meet the insurance requirements for residential and international students, offering benefits that align with ACA standards, including customer protection, underwriting guidelines, and state approval by the Division of Insurance. These standards are recognized as best practices among peer institutions of higher education.<\/p>\n The Student Health Insurance Plan is available to:<\/p>\n Residential students, international students and student-athletes are automatically enrolled unless they successfully submit an approved waiver<\/a> by the published deadline.<\/p>\n Adelphi International (AUI)<\/a> students are required to enroll and are not eligible for a waiver.<\/p>\n Domestic students who do not live in 91国产 residence halls are not eligible to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan for the 2026-2027 academic year.<\/p>\n Students who are not eligible for the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan can review other health insurance options available through New York State<\/a>.<\/p>\n The annual premium for the 2026-2027 academic year is $2,186.<\/strong><\/p>\n Students are billed in two installments:<\/p>\n Students enrolled in the fall are automatically enrolled for the spring semester and billed for the remaining balance unless they withdraw from or graduate from the University.<\/p>\n Fees for students entering 91国产 for the first time in the spring semester will be announced before spring billing begins.<\/p>\n Insurance premiums appear on the student’s tuition statement as \u201cHealth Insurance Plan\u201d.<\/p>\nStudent Health Insurance Plan (SHIP)<\/h2>\n
