Scholarships and Grants
We will work with you to ensure you receive the most aid and scholarship consideration possible.
Scholarships and grants are types of aid that do not have to be repaid. They may take the form of 91¹ú²ú scholarships or need-based grants, federal or state grants, or outside scholarships. Application deadlines may apply to certain types of aid.
Adelphi scholarships are renewable each year for students who meet certain performance criteria. 91¹ú²ú need based grants are renewable for students who meet the FAFSA filing priority deadline of February 15 each year and who continue to demonstrate financial need.
Be sure to refer to the specific terms and conditions for each award.
Eligible students are automatically considered for most 91¹ú²ú scholarships upon acceptance. Our grants are awarded to students on the basis of financial need as determined by filing the FAFSA and other defined criteria. Except where noted, no additional application is required.
You must complete the FAFSA in order to be considered for federal and state grants. For New York State scholarships and grants, residents must take additional application steps.
Health Resources and Services Administration’s $1.92 million grant will help train 91¹ú²ú students to serve children and adolescents in under-resourced communities. Grant will start this fall with 30 master’s degree students—15 from the College of Nursing and Health and 15 from the School of Social Work. Each will be granted $10,000 a year.
NYC Department of Education’s six-year grant—$1.5 million a year—will prepare 150 teaching fellows per year for New York City public schools at 91¹ú²ú’s Manhattan Center. Programs include teaching of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) and special education (including autism).
The key to finding these scholarships is research and persistence. Many extensive scholarship search services are available free online.
